LAHORE, Pakistan (Reuters) – A Pakistani court on Thursday dismissed previous State head Imran Khan’s supplication to suspend a capture warrant gave against him, stirring up fears of a recharged a conflict between his allies and security powers.

Thursday’s dismissal of Khan’s offered to have the capture warrant suspended came hours after a higher court had requested police to defer the activity to capture the previous cricket star until Friday, getting a brief break the deadlock.

The capture warrant was given by a court in Islamabad when Khan neglected to show up before it over charges that he unlawfully sold state gifts given to him by unfamiliar dignitaries when he was head of the state from 2018 to 2022. Khan denies the charges.
